My great-grandparents immigrated from Poland to the United States in the Fall of 1930. With limited capital, connections, and comprehension of the English language - the smitten couple embarked on a month-long sail across the Atlantic armed with the optimism of a life better lived.
Upon landing, they set North from Ellis Island in New York City to the fertile farmlands of Western Massachusetts, established residency, and launched a family-owned-and-operation trucking fleet bearing their namesake, Matuszko. Founded on the transport of potatoes from the Pioneer Valley to the cobblestone streets of Downtown Boston — Matuszko Trucking still runs routes throughout New England shipping agricultural from the farm to the city. All-Rights-Reserved to my grandparents for their steadfast values of hardwork, family loyalty, and honor : values that inform & inspire the brand today.
